In Germany every year 1,800 children (up to 15 years) are diagnosed with cancer. [1]
24.0% of all cancer diagnoses in children are tumours of the brain and central nervous system. [2]
Brain tumours in children are ranked second of the frequency statistics for cancer (after leukemia) and are the second leading cause in cancer-related death. [3]
