Christmas Lottery for a Good Cause
The small Bavarian town Himmelstadt is not only the official place of the Christmas post office, it is also a place of great social involvement. Thus, the local Fan Club of the famous German soccer team Bayern München, "Red Rooster` 95" Himmelstadt, collected money with a lottery at the Christmas market in Himmelstadt and and with a tombola at the club’s Christmas party to support the German Brain Tumour Associaton.
Charity Relay
In memory of the triathlete and mathematician Stefan Hachul, a special Charity Relay Sprint Triathlon for the benefit of the German Brain Tumour Association takes place at the 3MUC Triathlon Munich on 25 August 2012.
Dance Party for Brain Tumour Patients
The physiotherapist and dance instructor Simone Riesenfeld organizes for all sports and dance enthusiasts in June 2012 a "CHARITY EVENT ZUMBATHON ®" in favour of the Deutsche Hirntumorhilfe. With Latin American rhythms and sporting engagement important projects for brain tumour patients can be supported.
Giving Hope With Music
The musician Jan Peters was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2005. He initiated the jazz project "bassSinger" and released the album "Kid's Place". A part of the proceeds will be donated for the benefit of the Deutsche Hirntumorhilfe.
Farewell Days
“Tears from Heaven” is the title of a song by Frank Jung. He wrote it for his collegue and close friend Helmut Bauer, who lost the battle against his brain tumour in February 2009. The hobby musician did everything himself, including composing, writing the text, recording and producing. He donates the net income from the sale to the Deutsche Hirntumorhilfe.
Wearing sneakers for a good purpose
Thomas Ball has been successful in many ways: not only he finished his first marathon in Berlin in September 2009 in 5 hours and 32 minutes. He also tried to collect as much moneys as possible during the run. Ball, who has suffered from a brain tumour 20 years ago, wants to donate the money to the Deutsche Hirntumorhilfe. We congratulate him for his success in sports and fund raising.
